The Shorol Bari Resort is located in the village of Gidhriya, next to the Dhaladia Bazaar in the Rajendrapur area of the Gazipur District. The resort was founded by the artist Anusheh Anadil. Built in the Gazipur district of the Dhaka division, the resort captures the unique beauty of a quiet, rural environment surrounded by greenery and free from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Since it is close to Dhaka, you can easily visit the resort in one day. As soon as you enter, you will be fascinated by the rural surroundings. The resort is surrounded by green trees and birds chirping. You can spend the night in beautiful bamboo and wooden houses in this rural setting. There is a two-story wooden house and a bamboo house available for overnight stays.

The wooden house has a sitting room on the ground floor. The room is decorated with materials that reflect the traditions of rural Bengal. There is a veranda in the front with different types of trees. The bedroom is upstairs, accessible via the wooden stairs next to the sitting room. Four to five people can easily spend the night there.
The bamboo house is located in front of the wooden house. It is built with bamboo and cane. The ground floor of this house is empty. There are a few seats inside. In front is an open field of green grass. The second floor has two rooms for overnight guests. The rooms are beautifully decorated and tidy.
In front of the house is a sitting area where you can rest in the open field. Behind it is a pond. A flock of ducks swims there. There is a wooden ghat in the pond. Next to the pond, there are a few swings made of wood, bamboo, and ropes. While sitting on the swings, you can see green trees and rice fields.
The most exciting thing is that there is a Baul music performance every night at the resort. All guests are welcome to join in the fun and enjoy it.
How to get to Shorol Bari Resort
To go to Saral Bari Resort from Dhaka, you have to take the Dhaka to Mymensingh Highway Road and get off at Rajendrapur intersection. From Rajendrapur intersection, you have to take a CNG bus and pay 20 taka per person to Dhaladia Bazar.
You can go directly from Dhaladia Bazar to Saral Bari Resort located in Gidhriya village. The fare per person for CNG or auto rickshaw is 10 taka. Saral Bari Resort is located 2 kilometers away from Dhaladia Bazar.
What to Eat?
The Shorol Bari Resort has a separate wooden house made of tin where you can eat. There, you can enjoy traditional Bengali cuisine, including white rice, various types of bharta, curries, local chicken, pulses, fish, and organically grown vegetables. The taste of the local cuisine will transport you back to the old days of rural Bengal. Your food will be served in clay pots. Instead of tissue paper, you will be given a towel napkin at the end of the meal.
